  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 sleeve (about 30) Ritz crackers, crushed
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare Your Ingredients Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish. Shred your cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces. Soften your cream cheese if you haven’t already and crush the Ritz crackers until they’re coarse crumbs.
  2. Step 2: Create The Creamy Base In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream, beating until smooth. Add the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until completely incorporated into a velvety sauce.
  3. Step 3: Combine Chicken And Sauce Fold your shredded chicken into the creamy mixture, ensuring every piece is evenly coated.
  4. Step 4: Layer In Baking Dish Transfer half of your chicken mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle half of both the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over this layer. Add the remaining chicken mixture on top, then sprinkle the remaining cheeses and parmesan.
